COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP AWARD

Last year Sehome awarded the Community Partnership to Fred Meyers.  It was recommended that Janet Oakley receive the award this year for all of her effort and help with the History Grant Sehome Received. Phyllis will pass Janet’s name on to the district office.

END OF THE YEAR NOTABLES

We would like to recognize students, departments and staff for outstanding notable achievements this year.  It was recommended that some of these students be interviewed and featured on the Friday Morning Live.  We could also do a special publication to mail out parents before the year-end.   Department heads were asked to talk to their department and sub names and accomplishments to Phyllis.   Other ideas were discussed of ways to acknowledge these achievements.

AP TESTING

AP testing will be May 7th through May 18th.  There will be no bells during these two weeks.

YEAR-END DATES AND CALENDARS

Tentative calendars for May and June along with important year end dates were distributed to make sure all events are listed.  There was discussion about student clearance.  It was decided that students would not need to have each teacher sign their clearance forms.  Teachers will need to make sure they have a list of any classroom fines to Cathy Moran a week prior to student clearance.  The forms will be changed to reflect clearance in only the following area:

                        Cafeteria

                        Library

                        Bookroom

                        Lockers

                        Fines and Fees

DECISION MAKING

A revised decision making chart and a list of types of decisions made during the past month was distributed.  Due to lack of time discussion was tabled and will be on the agenda for the next meeting.

BUDGET

We have the numbers and are ready to plan the budget for next year.  A meeting will be set in May for this.   The exact date will be forthcoming.

GRADUATION

How can we increase staff participation?  This will be discussed at next meeting.
