TECH ASSEMENT
Reminder that all
certificated staff is required to take a Tech Assessment survey. An e-mail was sent out today with the
information and link to the website.
This needs to be completed by February 15th.
Students need to take a
Title IV survey about Student Activities offered at Sehome. The survey needs to be done the week of
February 29th during 2nd period. This is a scantron form and should only
take 5 to 10 minutes and teachers can choose which day they would like to give
it to their students.
SCHEDULE CHANGE FOR
SNOW MAKEUP DAYS
School will be in session
February 20th-23rd.
Teachers are asked to be flexible in allowing students to makeup work if
they are going to be absent. Students
who contract out should be given a reasonable amount of time to makeup the work
missed.
Semester finals will be
February 5th (period 1-3-5) and February 6th (periods
2-4-6). Grades will be due on Monday,
February 12th.
Late Arrivals on 2/8, 3/8
and 4/5 have been cancelled. These will
now be regular school days. There was
discussion about how we can continue small groups and how we can get all the
Culminating Project papers read which are normally done during one of the late
arrivals. Discussion will continue on
this.
Registration materials for
2007/08 school year will be given to students on March 5th. There is a new Student Connect program that
will allow students to enter their requests directly into the computer. There was discussion about when students
will meet with counselors to do this.
It was suggested that freshman and juniors could be scheduled to do this
in the SAIL lab during the WASL testing week.
Julie is going to talk to other schools and see how that works for them
and will then report back.
DECISION MAKING MODEL
Phyllis presented ideas and
forms for decision-making options. This
could help make sure the right people are involved in decisions. There was discussion about how to change
and make the forms work. Phyllis will
make the changes and then present it to the Leadership for approval and it then
present it to the whole staff.
