First semester students learn to visualize and design in 3D. Subject matter includes an introduction to architecture and industrial design. Students will learn to problem solve with freehand sketching and 3D software packages including Chief Architect and Rhinoceros.
Second semester students may choose to expand their software skills with 3D Studio Max for animation or AutoCAD for 2D Engineering. College credit is available to students meeting the Bellingham Technical College skill standards in AutoCAD.
Advanced students are encouraged to expand their knowledge through independent and group design projects. The CNC mill is also available for advanced students.
This class can be repeated for credit.
