Career Pathway: Skills for all Career Pathways
Requirements: Regular attendance, students
will participate in a "mock" interview with a community professional,
class assignments and projects.
Topics: This class is designed to provide financial literacy
skills for the student who will soon
be living on his/her own. This course
provides an opportunity to study such topics as employment and job finding
skills, management of the beginning salary, opportunities for saving and
investing, use of credit, banking, insurance, budgeting, consumer protection,
economics and housing.
Special Interests:
· Skills
needed for living on one's own after graduation.
· Cost
of living research and presentations culminating in a projected real life
budget
· Community
guest speakers
