Sehome High School
Senior Culminating Project Suggested Timeline
Welcome to your last semester
as a Sehome Senior! As you know, you
must present your culminating project on May 19th, 2008; in order to
accomplish this feat, you are strongly advised to follow this timetable of
meeting the standards on all of the phases and components of the
Bellingham School District Culminating Project. All of the skills and learning through your culminating project
should further aid your preparation for college, career, and a lifetime of
citizenship.
ON May 19th,
2008, YOU MUST PRESENT, WITH ALL PREVIOUS COMPONENTS HAVING BEEN APPROVED PRIOR
TO YOUR PRESENTATION. YOU ARE STRONGLY
URGED TO FOLLOW THIS TIMELINE AS CLOSELY AS POSSIBLE:
As should be apparent,
all current seniors should already have approved a culminating project
proposal!

scholarly papers submitted and approved – If you submitted your paper once
already, you should have already received it with the assessed rubrics. If you need to make revisions, do so as soon
as you can, and then re-submit your new improved version to Mr. Best.
If the scholarly paper is
not yet approved, you are invited to participate during the WASL Window (March
10 – 13) in a scholarly paper work session where a number of teachers will
assist you in Computer Labs A – 4 & A - 5.
Weeks of March 3rd,
March 10th, March 17th, & March 24th, 2008 – Fieldwork with official Time Log and Community
Advisor Final Observation form completed, portfolio added to, and reflection
paper begun

for guidance, you will undoubtedly be ready to present on May 19th
and meet or exceed all standards of each component of your culminating project,
while also further preparing yourself for the world beyond high school and
continuing your development as a life-long learner.
