Welcome to Spanish class! In this full-year class your listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills will be developed through:  conversations, games, skits, videos, cultural projects, readings, translations, oral drills, and workbook exercises.  This class will by no means be boring! Although you will not learn to speak Spanish fluently in one or two years, you will develop a base for this to occur with further practice.  By the end of the year you will be amazed at the amount of Spanish you understand and can communicate.

You will be expected to participate in class, (attendance is an important component of this class), study for upcoming quizzes/exams, and complete your homework assignments and projects on time.  These will be a must if you want to learn the language and do well in this class.

All make-up work from excused absences MUST be made up within one week.  Any quizzes, chapter exams, or assignments not made up within this time period will NOT be allowed to be made up at a later date.  The student is expected first to ask a classmate what they missed, check the homework file at the door and then set up a time for make-up tests with me.
