Poem of the Holocaust Misery, torture, death
the fate of a people
the fruit of a greed
One man's thirst for power
Against a nations will to live
Why all the need?
For one mans content?
Why all the pain?
For so little gain?
He decided
Who lived
Who died
He destroyed our home,
Our buisnesses
Our synagogues,
And the hope, freedom, jon in life
that we had before he came to power. Many died
A terrible death.
And great was the agony of survivors.
Yet people did help a bit,
After the struggle.
Why not before?
If people had stood by us,
It would not have happened. We would not have been destroyed,
or killed
All our families
Gone
And we could be brothers.
