What is poetry?
What is poetry? In the easiest sense, poems are aimed to present ideas and invoke emotion from the reader. The use of imagination is created by creativity and concrete words. It’s constructed by patterns inside the writing. The language is usually richer and the voices of the people creating the poem are more emotional. Poetry relies on the structure to create layers upon layers of meaning. The rhythm of each sentence affects the ear and may appeal to someone’s sense of imagery. It has been measured that the level of language and emotion makes the reader more intense into the poem; it also creates more of a dramatic picture. The amazing thing about poetry is that basically anything can call itself poetry. |
