Prerequisites: Successful completion of Global Science

This course is an comprehensive biology course designed for students that have an interest in the sciences.
Biology 1 & 2 fulfils a laboratory science credit for a four-year college. The topics will include the following: biochemistry, cells and cell function, energetics, biodiverstiy of living systems, human biology, genetics and ecology. This course is laboratory based and demands 3-4 hours of homework per week.

This is a sequence course; students are expected to take both semesters. Students must pass Biology 1 in order to enroll in Biology 2. Students must pass the computer ethics training offered at each high school.
